Do you accept insurance?

Yes — we accept Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, and Quest Behavioral Health, along with self-pay options. If you don't see your plan, reach out and we'll help you check your coverage.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes — care is provided via secure telehealth across Maryland and Delaware, so you can be seen from the comfort and privacy of home. Florida, Pennsylvania, and Texas are coming soon.

What conditions do you treat?

Dr. Akolo provides care for depression and mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, women's mental health, substance use and recovery, and more — plus psychotherapy, wellness counseling, and community resource support. See our Services page for details.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Just have your insurance information and a list of any current medications handy. Your first visit is a conversation — Dr. Akolo will take time to understand your story before discussing any plan.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. Our contact form is not monitored for emergencies.
